Worship in Pink is a unique program for congregations of all faiths and community organizations to help raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection. The goals of Worship in Pink are to provide breast health education in our communities and increase the number of women receiving mammograms. Worship in Pink programs are also held in various cities across the country.
Legacy Health and Komen Oregon have partnered to present Worship in Pink in the Portland, Oregon and SW Washington metropolitan area. The primary activities of inspiration, education and hope occur within the congregations during the Worship in Pink Weekend, October 10-12, 2014.
“Worship in Pink brings the faith community together to focus upon
a health concern that touches everyone in our community. Promoting
breast cancer awareness is ministry, and it is the work of us all.”
