Worship in Pink is a unique program for congregations of all faiths and community organizations to help raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection. The goals of Worship in Pink are to provide breast health education in our communities and increase the number of women receiving mammograms. Worship in Pink programs are also held in various cities across the country.
Susan G. Komen® Oregon & SW Washington partners with Legacy Health to present Worship in Pink in the Portland, Oregon and SW Washington metropolitan area. The primary activities and messaging of inspiration, education, hope and the importance of breast cancer screening will occur within the congregations throughout the entire month of October 2015.
“Worship in Pink brings the faith community together to focus upon
a health concern that touches everyone in our community. Promoting
breast cancer awareness is ministry, and it is the work of us all.”
